Device for damping vibrations

The device has a damper to be provided between two flywheel elements. An input part is one flywheel element connectable with the engine and an output part is the other flywheel element connectable with the drive train, e.g. by a clutch. The damper has at least one ring-like socket chamber formed by components of the one flywheel element to hold and support energy accumulators such as springs. The output part, such as a flange body which supports the other support areas for the springs and is in rotational connection with the second flywheel element, projects radially into the ring-like socket chamber. At least two springs are mounted substantially side by side in the axial direction in the socket chamber.
