PURPOSE:To provide a working fluid composed of a specific chloropentafluoropropane and a specific dichlorotrifluoroethane and having extremely low ozonosphere-destruction property, low solubility to polymeric compounds and excellent refrigeration and heating capability and coefficient of performance. CONSTITUTION:The objective working fluid is composed of (A) 99-20% (preferably 99-60%) of 1-chloro-1,1,3,3,3-pentafluoropropane and/or 3-chloro-1,1,1,2,2- pentafluoropropane and (B) 1-80% (preferably 1-40%) of one or more compounds selected from 2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane, 1,2-dichloro-1,1,2-trifluoroethane and 1,1-dichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane.
