Process and reagent for determining the fibrinolytic state of plasma The present invention provides a process for the determination of the fibrinolytic state of plasma, wherein to a native plasma sample a) there is added an amount of fibrin sufficient for the achievement of turbidity formation or this is produced in situ and the turbidity or the fibrin fission products formed measured or b) there is added a chromogenic plasmin substrate and an amount of fibrin insufficient for turbidity formation, fibrinogen fission products or an enzyme producing fibrin in situ and the colour formed is measured. The present invention also provides a reagent for the determination of the fibrinolytic state of plasma, wherein it contains plasminogen activator, thrombin or thrombin-like enzyme and buffer. |
