The invention relates to a hinge plate for a door, window or the like composed of an upper hinge knuckle and of a lower hinge knuckle held so that they can rotate freely with respect to one another through use of a pin, a bush including an offcentre bore matched to the diameter of the said pin being inserted into one of these hinge knuckles. This hinge plate is characterised in that it includes means 15 for rotationally controlling the bush 12 with a tangential action on the latter.
