PURPOSE: To obtain a pressure- or heat-sensitive recording material by using a single or two or more types of mixtures of a specific polycyclic component and a condensation component as an electron door and a color developing part, and using an electron-withdrawing inorganic or organic color developer. CONSTITUTION: The pressure- or heat-sensitive recording material comprises three components. An A component is represented by a formula (1), wherein X is a monocyclic or polycyclic aromatic or heteroaromatic radical, Y is a substituent detachable as an anion, Q1 is -O-, -S-, N-R or N-NR-R, Q2 is -CH-, -CO-, -CS- or -SO2 - and, a ring A is an aromatic or heterocyclic radical having 6 ring atoms. A B component is an organic condensation component, and a C component is an electron-withdrawing and a color-developing component. The components A, B, C are brought into contact with each other by a pressure or heating, and a recording image is retained on a support. A color generated in this case depends upon the types of the A and B components of the electron donor and the color-developing component. And the color developing is executed by the C component. Accordingly, a desired color can be formed by a combination of the components. |
