The invention relates to seating and lying furniture with a plurality of padded parts which can be used selectively as seating furniture or as a bed. The seat cushion is detachably connected to a back cushion. A pull-out frame can be pulled out forwards on a lower frame serving as a bed frame and is supported in the pulled-out position. Situated behind the back cushion in the seating position is a back swivel frame which is connected via swivel hinges to the side frames of the bed frame and can be swivelled on the latter in the lying position. The height of the back swivel frame is such that the padding arranged on it in the lying position together with the seat cushion mounted on the pull-out frame results in the lying surface. An optimally utilisable lying width is achieved by this design.
