PURPOSE:To enhance supeconductivity of bulk material or a wire by subjecting a mixture powder, which has undergone a heat treatment at a medium temp. zone below the sintering temp. either prior or subsequent to mixing, to the heat treatment for sintering. CONSTITUTION:Crude powder prior to mixing or a powder as starting material to processing is provisionally baked at a medium temp. zone of 400-800 deg.C which lies below the sintering temp. That is, a 500-600 deg.C heat treatment for several thru 24hr subsequent to the drying process will completely decompose the liquid medium attached to the powder and having remained into CO2+H2O. Because the heat treatment temp. and time depend on the properties of the crude powder and starting material and the conditions of storage, etc., determination of these values is made upon conducting thermal analyses, fixation of crystal phase, qualitative and quantitative analyses of elements. Use of this starting material, which is of uniform quality and active in chemical terms, should enhance the characteristics as bulk material or a wire. |
