PURPOSE:To produce high output by arranging an electromagnet producing a field for repelling or attracting a permanent magnet at a position, facing with the permanent magnet, of a cylinder to be fitted linear reciprocally with a piston, and starting power conduction to the electromagnet before a crank mechanism reaches to a peak output torque position. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnet 4 is fitted integrally into the upper opening 1b of a cylinder 1. The electromagnet 4 is excited with the timing of up/down motion of a piston 2 then the piston 2 subjected to repelling force is pushed down and a crankshaft 8 is rotated. Power is fed to the electromagnet 4 in front of the top dead point with predetermined rising time being considered, and maximum magnetic force is produced in the vicinity of a point 8 deg. after top dead point where the output shaft torque T has a peak value. |
