PURPOSE:To reduce the possibility of being an out-of-focus picture by again finding a range whether first range-finding data is correct or not in range finding at a low brightness and obtaining further possible range-finding information. CONSTITUTION:The camera is provided with a range-finding information output means 8 which calculates the difference between information in respective storage means when a brightness discriminating means 7 discriminates a low brightness and which outputs range-finding information obtained by second range- finding as range-finding information for focal adjustment if the difference information is less than a prescribed value. When a value within a range of the previous range-finding information is obtained by successive range-finding, it is taken as the range-finding information because two or more successive pieces of erroneous information is judged hardly available. Consequently, the possibility of being an out-of-focus photograph becomes slim. |
