PURPOSE: To properly translate a grammatically incorrect original text even even when the grammatically incorrect original text is inputted by rewriting a specific word string included in the inputted original text by a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION: A user definition rewriting file 16 contains word string conditions and rewriting rules as to the word strings included in the original text. Therefore, when the original text is inputted, the microcomputer 12 matches the word strings included in the original text against the word string conditions stored in the user definition rewriting file 16 to check whether or not the conditions are met. When there is a word string meeting the word string conditions, the microcomputer 12 rewrites the word string according to the rewriting rule corresponding to the word string conditions. The microcomputer 12 performs a translating process for the rewritten original text and outputs the obtained translation. |
