PURPOSE:To attain high-speed processing by generating a boundary area with a width corresponding to a scroll quantity in the boundary part of a picture indicated with mask information, allocating smoothing picture only to the boundary area indicated with the generated boundary mask information, and synthesizing the picture. CONSTITUTION:The mask information stored into a mask information storing means is scrolled at one picture element step by a scrolling means 2. A boundary mask generating means 3 executes a logical operation based on the mask information scrolled at every scrolling step. After the scrolling of the prescribed steps, the generated in the boundary part of the picture indicated by the mask information. Thus the operation to decide the area by making the smoothing filter successively scan the area is eliminated, and the high-speed processing is attained. |
