PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight molded item that would not warp, by using an aluminium (alloy) plate for a metal base and a resin having approximately the same coefficient of thermal expansion as the metal plate at room temperature in an outsert molded item wherein resin components are secured on several points of the metal base plate. CONSTITUTION:In an outsert molded item such as a VTR chassis wherein preciseness and excellent dimensional stabilities are required, a light metal plate such as an aluminium plate or aluminium alloy plate is used for the metal base plate 1, a plurality of holes 2 are drilled through the metal base plate 1, and functional sections 4 of a resin are arranged. As the resin, use is made of a resin having approximately the same coefficient of thermal expansion as that of the used light metal plate at room temperature, for example, one having the coefficient of thermal expansion of 1.8-2.9X10<-5>/ deg.C that can be prepared by adding an inorganic filler to a phenolic resin, an unsaturated polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a polyphenylene sulfide resin, a polycarbonate resin, a polyacrylate resin or a polyester sulfonic resin. |
