PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a clutch facing by providing a oontrol means temporarily setting the fastening force of a lockup clutch to the high fastening foroe side at the time of shift-down during deceleration slip control. CONSTITUTION:The duty ratio of a duty solenoid valve 26 is increased by the preset value and the fastening force of a lockup clutch 8 is temporarily set to the high fastening force side in the period from the start to the oompletion of shift-down during deoeleration slip control. The rise width of the engine rotating speed in the period from the etart to the completion of shift-down is increased, the rise curve is made proximate to the riBe curve of the turbine rotating speed in this period as much a8 possible, and the difference of both roteting speeds in this period is made proximate to the difference of rotating speeds at the time of the ordinary deceleration slip to the extent possible. As a result, the abrasion of a olutch facing is suppressed, and the durability can be improved by that much. |
