PURPOSE:To provide an automatic stamper capable of stamping constantly with a fixed stamping pressure irrespective of the thickness of a paper, comprising a mechanism for adjusting the position of a stamp when a load not lower than a predetermined value is exerted due to the thickness of a paper, when stamping on a paper by vertically moving a stamp through motor drive. CONSTITUTION:When the paper P is thin, an oscillating link 31 and a stamp support frame 20 are lowered to the lowermost position in the condition in which a transmission pin 15 and a gripping 43 are connected with each other. When the paper P is thick, the gripping part 43 yields to an excessive load to be disconnected from the pin 15 at the moment a stamp 26 reaches the upper surface of the paper P. Then, even when a transmission pin 35 is lowered, the link 31, the frame 20 and a stamp mechanism 25 are not lowered, but are returned upward to original positions by the elastic force of a spring 32. On returning from the bottom dead center to the upper original position, the pin 15 is again engaged to a gripping piece 47, and the next stamping operation is started. |
