The support for the end of a slat of a bedstead is the type consisting of a head 1 provided with means 3 for securing it to the frame 4 of the bedstead. According to the invention, these securing means 3 consist of a vertical border 17 extending underneath said head 1. This vertical border 17 comprises a stud 18 that extends at right angles to the inside face of said frame 4 and is designed to fit into an appropriate orifice 19 made in said inside face; this stud 18 is given a central orifice 20 in which a fixing nail 5 can be engaged to provide firm anchoring between the slat support and the frame of the bedstead. <IMAGE>
