PURPOSE:To perform the recording of an image with a small power by oscillating either of a recording head or a platen to change a pressing force during recording of an image. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 16 is supported by a rotary shaft 19 as a center, and can be moved insignificantly in an arrow(a) direction centering around the rotary shaft 19 and allowed to oscillate by oscillating an oscillation section 18. The head 16 is caused to oscillate by the oscillation section 18 to increase a pressing force brought to bear on recording paper 12. Therefore, the energy applied to a thermal element section is made smaller than an ordinary application energy. |
