A tube has an evacuated envelope containing an electron gun system (20) of the OLF type generating three electron beams all with their axes in one plane. The beams are focused on a display screen on the inside of the display window by focusing lenses (25, 26). These lenses are generated between apertured plateshaped electrode parts extending perpendicularly of the beam axes by applying potentials in the operating tube. These apertures communicate to form one long aperture in each electrode. An arrangement is provided for correcting the focusing lenses in at least one of the electrodes.
