Packaging machines for the production of packaging containers for pumpable foodstuffs make use of a pump arrangement which, via a filling valve assembly, portions out predetermined volumes into the individual packaging containers. A filling valve assembly 1 which is very suitable for foodstuffs has, according to the invention, a product valve 5, which is fed directly from the pump arrangement, and also, connected directly to the valve, a filling pipe 9 with an outlet valve 10 which is operated via an operating rod 13 extending through the product valve 5.
