<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor printer capable of easily identifying a delimiter of printing data by printing a predetermined sorting mark with the other color than a printing data output color with the judgement of the delimited state of a series of input printing data. CONSTITUTION:When a host starts inputting a series of printing data, by every issuance of a delimiter in a series of printing data, a control part 10 of a multicolor printer serving as a printing control means and also a detection means in combination outputs a printing dot pattern written in a first color frame memory 4 and a sorting mark generated by a sorting mark generator 5 individually to a first color printing part 8 and a second color printing part 9 in order to print a printing pattern and a sorting pattern with different colors, which are respectively generated by a font memory 3 and the sorting mark generator 5 as first and second pattern generating means. Therefore, because the sorting mark serving as a delimiter of printing jobs can be separately printed with different color and shape from those of the printing data, a series of printing output can be easily sorted after the completion of a plurality of printing jobs.</p> |
