Apparatus for applying viscous substances

A description is given of an apparatus for applying viscous substances, which comprises a storage container from which the respective substance can be fed in a metered quantity to a preferably brush-shaped applying element. The apparatus comprises a container having a storage space which is sealed by means of a bearing flange in which are mounted an actuating element and an applying element which can be displaced in the direction of their longitudinal axis counter to the action of a spring. The actuating element is connected to a metering piston, in the event of the movement of which a passage from the storage space to the metering chamber and from the latter to the outer air can alternately be closed and opened. The apparatus is used primarily for applying viscous, colouring cosmetics. It is likewise suitable for applying glues or other viscous substances.
