Push-button switch

In the case of a push-button switch whose locking pin interacts with a locking profile on a latching rail which can be displaced laterally, the latching rail is mounted such that it moves in the third dimension, that is to say vertically downwards, so that the latching rail can be disengaged from the latching pin or latching pins. In consequence, the push-button switch can be moved into the switched-off position when the pivoting lever, which supports the latching rail, is not acted on by an actuating element, for example a housing door. In this way, the push-button switch allows a safety function to be carried out without any additional door switches, positive disconnection of the apparatus being achieved and self-latching switching-on being prevented.
