PURPOSE:To drastically prolong the exchanging period of a cleaning material by using the cleaning material on the whole periphery of a drum by making the shape of the cleaning material of a fixing device of the image forming device in a roller shape. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is constituted of a heating roller 1, a pressing roller 2, and the roller-shaped cleaning material 3. When an image is formed, a sheet passes through between the heating roller 1 and the pressing roller 2. When toner is fixed on the sheet, unfixingly remained toner adheres to the heating roller 1. The adhered toner is wiped off by the roller-shaped cleaning material 3. When the cleanability of the roller-shaped cleaning material 3 is deteriorated, the roller-shaped cleaning material 3 is rotated until its fresh surface comes into contact with the heating roller 1 and cleaning is carried out again. The cleaning material can be used on the whole round of the drum and the exposing period of the cleaning material is sub-drastically prolonged. |
