PURPOSE:To produce the toner which is homogeneous and has a sharp grain size distribution by adopting a stage of exerting high shearing force to the toner for a granulation stage. CONSTITUTION:A liquid dispersion contg. a preliminarily dispersed monomer compsn. is supplied to a feed port 1 and is subjected to shearing by a stator 2 and a rotor 3 which are meshed with each other except a slight spacing left between the same. Namely, the liquid dispersion passes the stage part A where the shearing force is applied to the dispersion and the thrust force (by centrifugal force) is applied to the water flow direction; in succession, the dispersion is subjected to the shearing in the part where the comb tooth-shaped rotor 3 an stator 4 are combined with the slight spacing remaining therebetween. The dispersion passes the stage part B where the shearing force applied thereto and the previously obtd. thrust force is erased. After the dispersion is passed through these two stages plural stages, the dispersion is sent to a discharge port 5. The monomer compsn. particles which are coarse by the preliminary dispersion stage are subjected to the sufficient shearing force and are pulverized in this way. |
