<p>A machine for planing lengths of timber comprises mutually perpendicular spindles for cutter blocks. The spindle carrying the cutter block extends below a machine bed. The spindle carrying the cutter block extends across the bed. A conveyor is provided for feeding a workpiece past the cutter blocks at a lower level than the bed. In a modification the spindle carrying the cutter block drives a cutter block which is offset from the spindle itself.</p> |
