A bearing for a thin-walled tank on a railway tank wagon in which the tank is held on an underframe formed from longitudinal and transverse members by means of transverse saddles and longitudinal pushing plates. The object of the invention is to prevent fracture formations occurring on the tank attachments as a result of superimposed strains without increasing the economic outlay. According to the invention, the tank floor is connected to the underframe by a transverse saddle which consists of an angled pushing wall which extends approximately over the width of the tank and vertical supports which are arranged therein. The pushing plates which extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are arranged vertically in a known manner are continued at least as far as a reinforcement ring and open approximately tangentially into the outer tank casing. <IMAGE>
