PURPOSE: To produce the polyadduct dispersant being a new group by allowing a specified polyolefin to react with a polyamine, an α,β-unsatd. compd. of a specified formula and a 5-9C lactone material. CONSTITUTION: The polyolefin substd. with at least 0.8 dicarboxylic acid producing moieties per polyolefin molecule and having number average molecular weight of 300-10,000 is allowed to react with at least one kind of polyamine, α,β-unsatd. compd. expressed by formula I (X is sulfur or oxygen, Y is -OR<4> , -SR<4> or -NR<4> (R<5> ), and R<1> , R<2> , R<3> , R<4> and R<5> are the same or different and are hydrogen or substd. or unsubstd. hydrocarbyl) and at least one kind of 5-9C lactone material. In this way, the poly 5-9C adduct of the aminated hydrocarbyl substd. dicarboxylic acid producing material useful as an oil additive is obtained. |
