PURPOSE:To allow a large amount of collected dust to be attracted and at the same time, prevent the deterioration of electric discharge performance by using water as an earthing medium which receives an electric discharge from an electric discharging device. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of a main unit, a high voltage is applied to an electric discharging device 16 by a high voltage generation circuit 14, and an atmospheric discharge occurs to an earthed water 19 from an electric discharging element 17. The dust, in the air, sucked from a suction port 15 is electrically charged when it passes through an electrified region. The charged dust is attracted by the water 19 by the mutually attractive force of the electric charges, and is melted into the water. In addition, part of the dust is filtered when passing through a protection filter 22 and only the cleaned air is discharged from an exhaust port after passing through a fan 13. Thus the charged dust is attracted once by the surface of the water 19, and the electric discharge is normally continued until the whole water 19 is excessively foulded. |
