The subject of the invention is a trough-shaped cheese coagulation tank 1 whose inner surface is a portion of a cylinder with a circular cross-section, the said tank being closed at both its ends by transverse walls 3 perpendicular to the cylinder axis. According to the invention, this tank has at its upper part two lateral extensions 4 which form a gripping device projecting outwards on both sides of the plane of symmetry of the tank, each of these extensions 4 comprising a longitudinal recess 5 parallel to the cylinder axis and capable of receiving a pivoting axis 6 or a longitudinal handling device 7. <IMAGE>
