A method of production of a reciprocatory knitted heel or toe of hosiery goods in a circular knitting machine with two knitting feeds is provided, where during the phase of narrowing, narrowing is performed by one stitch in each knitting feed and during the phase of adding or widening during knitting in the direction of rotary knitting S in both knitting feeds one stitch is added and in the opposite direction of knitting S' two stitches are added in the knitting feed 6, 7, 8 which knits as first while no stitch is added in the other feed 1,2,3. Narrowing pickers 4,5,9, 10 are operative in the narrowing phase. During widening the pickers 9, 10 are made inactive and a widening picker 12 which lowers one needle on each side and a picker 13 which lowers two are operative in the smaller and larger gaps respectively between the feeds. <IMAGE> |
