PURPOSE:To vary the amount of oil applied to a yarn while keeping the rotational speed of an oiling roller by varying the liquid level of the oil relative to the oiling roller. CONSTITUTION:The level of an oil 12 is varied, e.g., by the vertical shift of an overflow pipe 15 to increase or decrease the volume of an oiling roller 13 immersed in the oil. The amount of the oil transferred in the form of an oil film attached to the circumference of the oiling roller 13 is varied by this process to vary the amount of oil transferred from the oiling roller to a yarn 16. |
