A self supporting structural concrete element comprises a longitudinal concrete beam 1 of generally inverted T section and a plurality of steel reinforcing rods, the rods comprising at least two pairs of rods 3 extending longitudinally though the beam, a spaced plurality of inverted V-shaped rods 4 each having its apex extending vertically from the upper edge of the beam and its limbs embedded in the beam, and at least one pair of longitudinal rods 5 connected externally of the beam to the spaced plurality of inverted V-shaped rods. |
