PURPOSE:To enable a main switch to be automatically turned OFF securely at the time of storage after completion of printing, with a simple construction without requiring extra component parts, by turning OFF the main switch in conjunction with movements of casings in the directions for contraction when the overall width of the title recorder is reduced to or nearly to a minimum. CONSTITUTION:The overall width of a recorder is varied by stretching or contracting casings 1, 2 and a recording mechanism provided in the casings in the moving directions of a carrier, and the overall width can be reduced to a minimum width at the time of storage. A main switch 3 mounted on a side surface of the casing 1 on the main body side is so disposed as to be turned OFF in conjunction with a movement of the casing 2 in the direction for contraction, namely, by being driven by an end face of the casing 2 on the cover side when the overall width of the recorder (casings 1, 2) is reduced to or nearly to the minimum. With this construction, the main switch can be securely turned OFF by simply performing a storing operation upon completion of printing, so that the problem of a power supply being left ON after use can be obviated. |
