PURPOSE:To remove an unnecessary refresh action and to reduce the burden of a power source by deciding the necessity of a refresh by a device, receiving a refresh request signal only when necessary and executing a refresh action. CONSTITUTION:A little memory is comprised of an oscillator 4, a frequency divider 5 and a refresh period generator 6 and provided with a timer 7 to emit a pulse at a specific period and a refresh execution decision device 8, which decides whether or not the refresh action is necessary each time receiving the output pulse, receives the refresh request signal from an outside when it is decided necessary and emits a refresh execution signal. Even when the refresh request signal is inputted, the refresh action is not executed except when the device decides the refresh necessary. Thus, the unnecessary refresh action is removed, a power source load is reduced and the stable action of a system can be ensured. |
