PURPOSE:To thermally treat a coloring layer by reversing the moving direction of a heatsensitive recording material, inverting the heatsensitive recording material upside down and allowing the initially coloring layer of a heatsensitive coloring layer to be fixed. CONSTITUTION:A transport roller 18 transports a heatsensitive recording material 10 in the direction of the arrow A, and a cutter 22 cuts the heatsensitive recording material 10. The cut heatsensitive recording material 10 receives thermal processing for image recording by a thermal processing section 28, then it is discharged to a delivery tray. The frame 28A of the thermal processing section 28 is provided with guide bars 30, 32, and a moving base 34 is moved along the guide bars 30, 32. A protrusion 56 is formed on a flat belt 42 and this protrusion 56 rotates back and forth the moving base 34 by rotation of the flat belt 42 in one direction. A holder section 60 which holds the heatsensitive recording material 10 is arranged through a reversing shaft 58, and the holder section 60 is rotated back and forth in a range of 180 deg. following the rotation of the reversing shaft 58. After this, by moving the flat belt 42 in the direction shown by the arrow D, the moving base 34 is driven in a single return and half trip to allow a thermal head 64 to develop colors in Y color, C color and M color layers sequentially. |
