PURPOSE:To make the pressing force of a thermal head smaller to reduce the load of a motor, by a method wherein a capstan roller pressing and following a platen roller with a force so small as to make the platen roller does not deform is provided separately from the thermal head in the vicinity of heating elements of the thermal head to feed recorded paper. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 1 is mounted on a thermal head holder 3 to be positioned to a platen roller 2 by the side surfaces of the thermal head holder 3. Furthermore, this thermal head 1 is depressed against the platen roller 2 by a spring 4, and heating elements of the thermal head 1 generate heat according to image information; thus, an image is recorded on heat-sensitive paper P. At this time, the paper P recorded with the image by the thermal head 1 is fed while being applied with a feeding force also at a contact part of the platen roller 2 and the capstan roller 5 depressed by a plate spring 6. In this manner, the pressing force of the thermal head can be decreased, the load of a motor is reduced, and a small-size motor is made available. |
