PURPOSE:To surely obtain a picture focused on a desired object in such a case that a third person is asked to take the picture by providing a focus locking holding means which is actuated by the generation of a focus locking holding signal and continues the storage holding of a range-finding value even if the half-pressing operation of the release operating member is released. CONSTITUTION:The title camera is provided with a focus locking holding operating member 105 to generate the focus locking holding signal accompanied with a manual operation, and the focus lock holding means 106 which is actuated by the generation of the focus locking holding signal and continues the storage holding of the range-finding value even if the half-pressing operation of the release operating member 102 is released, and the half-pressing operation is executed again thereafter. Thus, the picture focused on the desired object can be obtained by handing a camera to the third person after holding a focus locking state in such the case that the third person is asked to take the picture. And if the third person erroneously operates photographing information commanding operation member 107, the photographing information is not changed and an undesired picture is prevented from being taken. |
