The present invention relates to a device for forcing mules on a last. The objective of the invention is to produce a device making it possible to curve the upper by forcing on a last and to hold it in this position for a time sufficient for it to be possible subsequently to weld the sole. This objective is achieved with the aid of a device for forcing a mule on a last, the mule being of the type which comprises an upper which is sewn or bonded onto a sole and a heel equipped with a cavity and fastened onto the said sole, the device being characterised in that it comprises a last placed on the fixed frame of the device, a means for blocking the mule 6 on the said last 5, and a means for forcing this mule on the last, the blocking means being movable between two positions, a "rest" position in which it is free and a "blocking" position in which it is fitted into the cavity 11 of the heel 10 of the said mule. This device is designed more particularly for manufacturing mules from leather, terry towelling or synthetic fabric. <IMAGE>
