PURPOSE:To contrive improvement in workability or productivity by performing cutting and supply of a material automatically, by a method wherein the tip part of a rubber-sheetlike material is clamped to a guide member arranged in the vicinity of a loading port and a cutting device cutting the tip part of the rubber-sheetlike material into a form apt to supply into the loading port of a supply hopper is provided. CONSTITUTION:When the tip of a rubber-sheetlike material W which has been carried away by a carrying conveyor 1 comes to a fixed position of a guide member 6, the tip of the rubber-sheetlike material W is clamped by a clamper 18 between the clamper 18 and guide member 6 by actuating a cylinder 17 of a clamp device 7. A motor 22 with a reduction gear of a cutting device 8 is actuated and the rubber-sheetlike material W is cut off aslant with a cutter 8a. Since the tip of the cut rubber-sheetlike material W is narrower than a width of a loading part 2a of a supply hopper 2, the rubber-sheetlike material W to be supplied is loaded smooth into the supply hopper 2. With this construction, cutting and supply operation of the rubber-sheetlike material W can be performed easily.
