Very high temp. magnetic resonance spectrometry probe has a radio or microwave resonator enclosing a sample to be analysed within a container, and an external laser heating the sample by transmission or absorption with a beam of coherent light. The container is pref. of glass, vitreous silica, vitreous carbon, boron nitride, silicon carbide, or silicon nitride. USE/ADVANTAGE - For NMR or ESR spectrometry. Only the sample and its container are heated.
