PURPOSE:To curtail a pipeline running through an inserting section, by providing a branch section at a part corresponding to a self-travelling section of a pipeline running through an inserting section to feed a pressurized fluid to elastic cylindrical members and a balloon as being controlled with the pipeline as header. CONSTITUTION:After a self-travelling section 2 is inserted into a pipeline, first, a solenoid valve 8b is opened being controlled by a control section 12 as a pressurized fluid is fed to a balloon 4 from a pressure generator 7 and the balloon 4 is expanded to be kept on the internal surface of the pipeline. Subsequently, a solenoid valve 9b is opened to let the pressurized fluid be sent to a rubber actuator 3 so that the rubber actuator 3 contracts axially to advance a part of an inserting section 1 behind the balloon 4. Then, a solenoid valve 10b is opened and a rear balloon 5 is expanded to be kept on the internal surface of the pipeline. Thereafter, the balloon 4 is reduced and at the same time, the pressurized fluid within the rubber actuator 3 is exhausted to move the balloon 4 ahead. |
