Process as described based on the use of ammonia salts containing dicyandiamide, whereby the surface of the ammonia fertilizer grain is sprayed with a molten polyethylene glycol at a temperature of 50 to 90C, after which the dicyandiamide is applied to the grain and the granular material is cooled until the polyethylene glycol hardens again. The granular material thus produced has a slight tendency to agglomerate and to the attrition of the dicyandiamide.
