The invention relates to a method of carrying the weight of a pipeline arranged in a vertical shaft of a mine by means of a support arranged on the shaft wall as well as to an apparatus for carrying out the method. Provided here are suspension means and at least one supporting means, which reduces the tensile stress below the suspension point, the catch force being adjustable in such a way that a minimum tensile stress remains.
