The foil is placed in the mould; a quantity of thermoplastic material (2) is injected which is insufficient to fill the complete mould cavity but which is sufficient to cover the assembly of the internal surface of the mould with a layer of the desired thickness; a gas under pressure is injected, simultaneously or successively, into the thermoplastic material which is still, at least partially, molten, which gas pushes back the material over the entire surface of the mould while creating at least one cavity (3d, 3e) filled with the said gas; the mould is cooled in order to bring the thermoplastic material to the solid state; the interior of the mould is disconnected from the source of gas under pressure; and the mould is opened in order to free the composite part thus obtained. <IMAGE>
