PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction by putting a small-sized tape cassette in a case body having the same size as a standard size tape cassette and opening a guard panel of the small-sized tape cassette by a positioning piece fitted to the case body. CONSTITUTION:A space to take the small-sized tape cassette 1 is prepared in a part of the case body 6 having the same size as the standard size tape cassette. The small-sized tape cassette 1 build-in rotatably two reel to take up a magnetic tape and a guard panel 5 to pull out the tape. The space 7 is provided with arms 8, 20 and guide rolls 9, 11 to pull out the tape from the cassette 1 and abut it to an unshown magnetic head. The reels are rotated by a shaft inserted from a hole 6a and a gaer 4a for the reels. When the small-sized casette 1 is inserted, the positioning piece 12 fitted to the body is abutted to the guard panel 5 to open the panel 5. Consequently, malfucntion is prevented and the small-sized cassette can be set to a large-sized deck. |
