PURPOSE: To provide easily an expanded luminance range and a relatively fixed light color output by utilizing an electric current regulator in combination with a fluorescent lamp to adjust the electric current of the lamp and vary directly the luminance of the lamp tube. CONSTITUTION: A back light lighting system 100 of a flat-panel display device comprises an electric current regulator 110 and an electric current inverter 120 connected thereto and the latter is connected to a fluorescent lamp 130. The electric current inverter 120 supplies AC from DC outputted by the electric current regulator 110 to the fluorescent lamp. That is, the lamp electric current is regulated to vary directly the luminance of the lamp tube. Thus, a flat-panel display device of a fixed light color output is obtained within a designed expanded dimming range. |
