摘要 |
PURPOSE:To cover leakage and spreading of light at a luminous area and to obtain an LED array with less light crosstalk at the adjacent mutual luminous area by providing a screening layer which prescribes a desired luminous shape. CONSTITUTION:Zinc Zn is partially diffused at an n<+> epitaxial layer 2 of GaAsP on an n-type GaAs substrate 1 by a diffusion mask 4 to form a p<+> diffusion layer 3 which was formed at equal pitch in array direction. An electrode wiring layer 5 is provided so that it is electrically connected to a p<+> diffusion layer 3. Then a screening layer 6 opens luminous area and is formed through a diffusion mask 4 (intermediate insulation film). By providing a screening layer b in this manner, even if leakage and spreading of light at the luminous area occur, the influence can be minimized and light crosstalk of an adjacent luminous area can be reduced. |
