PURPOSE:To manufacture a soft magnetic strip having excellent magnetic characteristic, such as high saturation magnetic flux density, by cold- or warm-rolling under the specific condition after rapid cooling the strip obtd. by liquid- quenching the specific composition of molten alloy composing of Co and Fe and annealing and cooling. CONSTITUTION:From the molten alloy having composition containing 25-65wt.% Co, and if necessary, further 0.05-5.0% at least one kind element among V, Cr, Mn, Nb, Mo, Ta, W and Ni and the balance substantially Fe, the strip is obtd. by liquid quenching method. This strip is successively cooled to <=450 deg.C at >=1,000 deg.C/min, or if necessary, after heating to the range of 750-1,000 deg.C. AFter that, the cold or warm rolling is executed to the strip at 3-40% rolling reduction ratio to give crystal structure working strain. Next, after annealing the rolled strip in the temp. range of 700-1,000 deg.C, it is cooled at 25-1,000 deg.C/hr cooling speed. By this method, the strip having high saturation magnetic flux density and excellent soft magnetic property is obtd. |
