A machine for washing the internal surfaces of a transport container has a cylindrical brush (3) mounted on an L-shaped link (8). The link (8) together with links (5,6,7) form a parallelogram linkage. The link (7) has one end attached to the machine structure whilst the link (5) is attached to the actuating rod (12) which is connected by a system of links to an hydraulic cylinder (18). This mechanism enables the operating radius of the brush to be varied so that it can be extended to wash the corners of the container. USE - Washing of containers.
