PURPOSE:To reduce black specks to eliminate the variance in density of interference fringes by using a photosensitive body having a carrier generating layer of specific constitution including a specific bisazo compound and forming an image under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is used where a carrier transporting layer 4 is provided on a carrier generating layer 2 including a carrier generating material 10 and a binder (A), and the bisazo compound having a coupler of a formula, where Ar<1> is aryl and Y and Z are halogen, cyano, or the like and (m) is 0-4 and (n) is 0-2, in molecules is used as the material 10. A content ratio of the material 10 to the component A is set to <=1/2 and the thickness of the layer 2 is set to >=1mum, and the layer 2 contains a carrier transporting material. After the semiconductor laser light is projected to this photosensitive body to form an electrostatic latent image where the absolute value of the highest potential of the electric charge is 500-900V, a DC bias voltage whose absolute value is 0-200V lower than said absolute value is applied to subject the electrostatic latent image to reversal development, thus forming the image. |
