PRODUCTION OF LONG-SIZED PRODUCT OF SINTERED BODY

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain high quality long-sized products of various sintered bodies at high density by plastically working a metal tube filled with powdery starting material and calcining the starting material in a strong magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A tube of a metal suitable for plastic working is filled with powdery starting material and plastically worked. The starting material in the tube is then calcined or sintered by heating the tube in a strong magnetic field. By the heating in the strong magnetic field, the orienting property of the structure of the resulting sintered body is improved, high quality long-sized products of sintered bodies can be produced in a high yield and high productivity can be maintained.
